MDI Group Names Richey Brownfield as New CEO; Ella Koscik Becomes Company Chairperson

MDI Group – a leading national technology services provider with offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Greenville, S.C., and Phoenix – announces the advancement of two executive team members. Effective today, Richey Brownfield – Chief Operating Officer since 2010 – is promoted to CEO, and Ella Koscik – Chief Executive Officer and majority owner of MDI Group since 1994 – becomes Chairperson of the Board.

Brownfield was hired by MDI Group in 1999. He held several operational and sales leadership positions – including Professional Services Delivery Director, Area Vice President and COO – before his appointment to CEO. His professional experience includes an extensive background in information technology gained from working with NCR Corporation and Siemens Energy & Automation prior to joining MDI Group.

Among his many achievements in the past 13 years, Brownfield launched and managed MDI Group’s Contingent Workforce Management division and played an integral role in developing the Managed Service Provider (MSP) programs utilized by multiple Fortune 500 clients. As COO, Brownfield was instrumental in restructuring the company’s service delivery strategy to focus on local markets where the business operates, diversifying its client base and growing consultant headcount, which strengthened the company’s value proposition and presence in each local market served.

As CEO, Brownfield assumes responsibility for achieving the company’s operational objectives that include the expansion of its geographic footprint and the continued improvement in the quality and depth of client and consultant services.

She also was a Board Member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and served on its Supply Chain Subcommittee and the Procurement Subcommittee.
