Alexsys Corporation Introduces Team Professional Series for Collaboration, Project and Task Management

Team Pro automates and documents project management and 'people-centric' processes; Company offers free single-license version

STONEHAM, Mass., June 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Alexsys Corporation today unveiled Alexsys Team Pro, the new professional series of its collaborative task and project management software with a powerful new productivity toolset for the enterprise. Through Team Pro's enhanced flexibility, companies can now better automate, document and manage their projects and 'people processes' in a collaborative and secure environment. Alexsys also announced today that companies can get a free single-user version of Team Pro which offers small companies a way to organize complex workloads and maximize limited resources.

Alexsys Team Pro provides workload management by recording tasks in a relational database and allowing them to be prioritized, assigned, and completed with detailed documentation of pertinent discussions, notes, attachments, and a record of the time spent on each.

"In order to gain a competitive edge in the market, organizations must capture, track and facilitate the human-processes of their groups," said Rich Bianchi, president and founder of Alexsys Corporation. "With our free, single user Team Pro offer, small companies can now get the same benefits that our larger customers have seen -- better productivity and more effective leveraging of limited resources. Team Pro gives management and employees the ability to automate people-centric processes to stay ahead of the competition."

Better Flexibility and Control for Secure Team Productivity

Many productivity tools can actually impede an individual user or team's access to critical information. Alternatively, other approaches can lack control over information that must be secured. Unlike these, Alexsys Team Pro is focused on a people-centric approach to secure productivity, providing the tools that employees and managers need to get their work done on-time and within budget.

Alexsys Team Pro offers several new features that combine enhanced collaboration and flexibility with increased information control to allow businesses to reap the benefits of increased productivity with better security. Enhancements include:

* Increased Collaboration - With unlimited flag and discuss notes, multiple team members can collaborate on the same task and work the way they do in real life. In addition, drag and drop support allows users to move information seamlessly between Team Pro and their other productivity programs including Outlook. * Flexibility and Ease-of Use - Team Pro now includes Custom Schema which allows administrators to customize their database to map to specific business needs. Team Pro also simplifies data entry by offering the ability to duplicate and relate existing work requests. New work day support enhances Team Pro's ability to work the way the business does offering more accurate targeting and performance metrics. * Control and Security - Team Pro offers a host of features for full attachment security including source, file type, size and user access in order to centralize information, minimize risk from malicious files and enforce corporate security policies.

"By further boosting Team Pro's flexibility and easy customization, we continue to deliver on our mission of helping teams become more productive by working with their existing processes -- instead of forcing new or additional process on them," added Bianchi. "Team Pro offers groups even better tools to share data and enhance individual effectiveness -- thereby increasing productivity and enabling businesses to stay ahead of the competition."

How It Works

Designed to be up and running in minutes, Alexsys Team Pro works in Microsoft Windows(R) and uses standard web browsers for the Alexsys Team-Web product. An administrator can either use the product out-of-the-box or customize it using Alexsys' Adaptive Rules Engine to create specific fields, forms, tables, escalations and notifications which become immediately available to Team members without the need for rebuilding, rebooting, or restarting. Users can instantly view and organize their assignments, create and update tasks, and collaborate with other team members. Reports and live views are easily generated for a variety of organizational needs. Managers can quickly get a snapshot view of both individual user and project workloads, to identify bottlenecks, balance workloads, streamline group communications, and better leverage human resources.

Pricing and Availability

Alexsys Team Pro now supports the latest SQL Servers including: Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Oracle 10g, and MySQL 5.0. The latest version of Alexsys Team Pro and Team Standard are available immediately, and pricing starts at $295 per user, with volume discounts available. Special packages are available for installations of 500 users or more.

Alexsys is now offering a free single-user license called the Alexsys Team FreePack(TM) for single user installations. The Team FreePack includes a single Team Pro and Team-Web license. Alexsys continues to offer a fully- functional, multi-user, free trial version. For more information about Team Pro or Team FreePack(TM), please visit http://www.alexcorp.com/.

You know you need the cloud, but you’re hesitant to simply dump everything at Amazon since you know that not all workloads are suitable for cloud.
