Art and Dentistry Pair Well, According to Dr. Amir Balouch

A history in the creative world has aided this cosmetic dentist's career ambitions

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Dentists don't often have a reputation for creativity. Los Angeles, however, is privileged to be the home of Dr. Amir Balouch, whose artistic past informs his present dentistry.

Stops on his way to success have included rewarding ventures into film. Dr. Balouch's love for animation led to him producing and narrating Little Tale of Us. This film won the Best Animation award at the 2011 Noor Film Festival as well as other international honors. His other production credits include his involvement with the animated films Lollipop, Magic Hand, the Wooden Baby, the Kindergarten, and Cat World, which is previously in-production. Despite these investments, the majority of his creativity has been funneled into his dental work.

After graduating from dental school, Dr. Balouch believed there had to be an easier way to treat patients with dental implants. With his colleague Dr. Shahram Namjoo, he embarked on a project of originating a new dental implant system in Iran. Subsequently, Dr. Balouch attended research and development courses through the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. This led to the invention of the Nisastan implant. The dental implant system brought a simple, groundbreaking method to dentists that saves time and costs for the patient. He became the scientific director of the Nisastan product for many years, which was incredibly fruitful for everyone involved.

Dr. Balouch cites his imagination as key to his success as a dentist. Not simply accepting the way things were, he instead chose to use his ingenuity to forge a new solution to then contemporary deficiencies in dentistry. He believes that cosmetic dentistry is a field where creativity and science meet and that science and imagination truly complement each other.

Stop by his personal website, drbalouch.com, and you'll find a deeply personal dentist's biography that verifies this. Dr. Balouch first became fascinated by dentistry when a creative family myth about "tiny worms" terrorizing the inside of his aching tooth captured his imagination. His imaginary solution to removing these malevolent worms is surprisingly similar to the reality of dentistry: a highly trained craftsperson has to carefully extract the problem with tremendously precise tools.

As you continue through his website, you'll notice Dr. Balouch's impressive resume. His academics are truly impressive. He's not only had his scholarly work published; he was skilled enough to open a practice in Iran and to teach dentistry at Tehran University at a relatively young age. His career has been rounded out by community service work and supporting many artistic endeavors that inspire him.

This ambition, nonetheless, has led him to a dentistry career in the United States. Based in Los Angeles, imagination and creativity continue to guide his dentistry career. Dr. Balouch still finds opportunities to touch the lives of those who can benefit from caring, effective dentistry. You can read more about Dr. Balouch on his website.

However, the rapid adoption of APIs and almost ubiquitous availability of APIs amongst most SaaS and Cloud applications are ra...
