The finals day for the UK's Smartest Shopper took place last week at a secret location, with 10 finalists undergoing interviews from some of the country's most revered money savers.  Marc Lockley, the author of 'How to Pay Less and Get More' and bloggers AThriftyMrs and Miss Thrifty joined the Savoo General Manager on the panel and tested the finalists money-saving knowledge. But there could be only one winner and Annie prevailed, due to what the judges described as her 'wow factor'.

Mother of one Annie, 28, started taking savvy shopping seriously after getting into debt and has transformed her life as a result. She commented, "I can't believe I have won this amazing prize and working with Savoo and my mentors to create a blog is something I have always wanted to do. I want to make money-saving 'cool' and let people know how easy it has become if you know what you're doing."

Award-winning personal finance blogger Miss Thrifty, real name Karyn Fleeting, commented, "The tanked economy and our straitened household budgets have turned us into a nation of smart shoppers and clever scrimpers. Finding the smartest shopper of all was no mean feat. The final decision was a tough one, with so much talent from which to choose, but we picked a worthy winner in Annie and I am confident that all our finalists will go on to make their names as the next generation of money-saving experts."

Simon Bird, General Manager of Savoo International, said, "We knew there was genuine money-saving knowledge in the UK, but we had no idea how truly amazing people have become. Savoo is delighted to offer Annie the prize and also help in creating what we hope will be an award-winning blog. Annie showed incredible passion and knowledge for getting great deals, seeking opportunities to save money and told us judges about money saving tips and hints we had never heard of."

After the success of the search for the UK's Smartest Shopper, Savoo is looking forward to this becoming an annual event. We’ve worked with dozens of early adopters across numerous industries and will debunk common misperceptions, which starts with understanding that many of the connected products we’ll use over the next 5 years are already products, they’re just not yet connected. A critical component of any IoT project is the back-end systems that capture data from remote IoT devices and structure it in a way to answer useful questions. Traditional data warehouse and analytical systems are mature technologies that can be used to handle large data sets, but they are not well suited to many IoT-scale products and the need for real-time insights. At Fuze, we have developed a backend platform as part of our mobility-oriented cloud service that uses Big Data-based approache...
See storage differently! Storage performance problems have only gotten worse and harder to solve as applications have become largely virtualized and moved to a cloud-based infrastructure. As the rapid adoption of containers continues, companies are finding that they lack the operational tools to understand the behavior of applications deployed in these containers, and how to identify issues in their application infrastructure. For example, how are multiple containers within an application impacting each other’s performance? If an application’s service is degraded, which container is to blame? In the case of an application outage, what was the root cause of the outage?
