LAS VEGAS, Nov. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SHFL entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ Global Select Market: SHFL) ("SHFL" or the "Company") will feature "A Better Game" during the South American Gaming Suppliers Expo ("SAGSE") at the Costa Salguero Convention Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, November 13-15, 2012. Product demonstrations will be available at booth #208.
"Being the premier trade show in South America, SAGSE is a great opportunity for us to showcase our wide range of products to this fast-evolving market," said Gavin Isaacs, Chief Executive Officer of SHFL. "Following several initiatives to grow our presence in this region, including our recent engagement of two renowned industry standouts Juan Pablo Irarrazaval and Alejo Mautone, we are demonstrating our high level of commitment and dedication to customers in this key market."
The Company will feature innovations in four of its product categories - utilities, proprietary table games, electronic table systems, and slot machines, while demonstrating how SHFL offers…
…Better Solutions for Increasing Security, Speed, and Productivity
The MD3 card shuffler will be featured at the show and is designed to increase speed and security at blackjack and baccarat tables, while reducing downtime and maintenance. This multi-deck shuffler can shuffle eight decks of cards in seven minutes, while verifying the correct number and composition of the cards. A flush-mount design allows for better sight-lines for supervisors and surveillance, and an on-board ticket printer provides a receipt for documentation of shuffling and card verification. Using optical card recognition, the MD3 verifies a shoe of pre-shuffled cards in less than two minutes and works with all card types. Its improved platform and gripper system reduces wear and tear on cards, which leads to longer card life.
Other utility offerings highlighted at the show include the DeckMate poker room shuffler, which has been a staple in the poker market for over 10 years; the one2six multi-deck and single-deck continuous shuffler; the iDeal shuffler for single-deck specialty games; the i-Shoe Auto optical card-reading shoe for baccarat and blackjack; and the Easy Chipper D chip sorter.
…Better Entertainment for the Pit
The Company will feature progressive versions of two of its popular specialty table games: Three Card Poker and Mississippi Stud. Chip sensors embedded in the table allow players to place an optional jackpot wager to potentially win fixed prizes or a continuously incrementing progressive jackpot. Last year, SHFL introduced an inter-casino linked progressive feature that enables operators to link progressive tables across a number of properties. Additionally, progressive tables within a single property can be linked wirelessly.
…Better Efficiency through Electronic Wagering
The i-Table Roulette will be prominently displayed at SAGSE, highlighting all the added functionality and benefits of electronic wagering while maintaining an identical footprint to a traditional roulette table. Featuring a live wheel, ball and dealer, the i-Table Roulette's graphically-enhanced central display screen replicates a felt layout, and virtual betting stations resolve all bets accurately and instantaneously. Spins per hour significantly increase, errors are virtually eliminated, and table productivity more than doubles. Additional language options are now available on the i-Table platform to better serve a variety of markets. The i-Table Roulette's stunning graphics, intuitive interface and inherent game-integrity enhance the experience for both the player and the dealer.
…Better and Broader Slot Content
With over 30 titles on display this year, SHFL's slot machine lineup will showcase the Company's deep portfolio of content and highlight its growing success in creating content to suit the diverse needs of the international marketplace.
Adding to the appeal of the highly acclaimed Equinox cabinet, the 32-inch LCD Super Top Box add-on will be front and center, and includes four interactive multi-feature games that are triggered randomly.
SHFL's slot machine lineup will also feature Texas Star, Lakota, Arctic Quest, Lucky Panda, Cats, Hats & Bats, Money Buzz, OINK, Chomp!, Hubble, Bubble & Trubble, and many more of the Company's popular titles. All of the titles offer unique features like new mathematical models, new jackpot triggers, and new themes.
