Nam Tai Electronics, Inc. Recognized By Customer As An Excellent Quality Supplier

SHENZHEN, China, Nov. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Nam Tai Electronics, Inc. ("Nam Tai" or the "Company") (NYSE Symbol: NTE) today announced that it has received a Quality Supplier Award from its customer and their end buyer for smartphone product. The customer is a global leader in LCD technologies and is focused on small- and medium-sized displays for a range of applications from mobile devices and other consumer products to automotive electronics and industrial equipment, which chose to honor Nam Tai at an award ceremony held at the Company's Shenzhen, China facility. This recognition coincides with the launch of Nam Tai's production of high-resolution LCM for smartphones at the Company's Shenzhen facility beginning in September 2012.

The award was presented to Nam Tai in recognition of its excellent manufacturing services and continuous quality improvement and distinguishes the Company as a world-class supplier within the customer's supply chain.
