ARNPRIOR, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/27/12 -- Pacific Safety Products Inc. ("PSP" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:PSP), a leading North American manufacturer of advanced armour and personal protection solutions, today reported financial results for the three month period ended September 30, 2012.
-- The Company reported a net loss for the first quarter of $0.5 million compared to a net loss of $0.3 million, that included $0.3 million of non-recurring cost recoveries during the first quarter of the prior year. -- Revenues for the first quarter were $2.8 million, a decrease of 19.2% compared to revenues of $3.5 million during the first quarter of fiscal 2012. -- Gross margin as a percentage of revenues for the first quarter was 20.1% compared to 24.3% for the first quarter of the prior year. -- Expenses for the first quarter were $1.0 million compared to $1.3 million for the first quarter of the prior year, a decrease of 23.3%. -- Adjusted Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization ("Adjusted EBITDA")(1) was a loss of $0.4 million consistent with the Adjusted EBITDA loss in the first quarter of the prior year.
