From now through December 31, 2012, for every new "like" of its Facebook page, Facebook.com/ComfortZoneProducts, the brand will donate $1 – up to $7,000 – to the Petfinder Foundation to benefit a number of Petfinder member shelters and rescue groups which help homeless pets nationwide.

"Central Garden & Pet and Comfort Zone® products are committed to helping pets, whether they're in a home or a shelter, feel happy and safe this holiday season," said Sonny Singh, Director of Marketing - Animal Health for Central Garden & Pet Company. "We know our customers and Facebook fans are passionate about the wellbeing of animals, and we want to offer our new fans a simple way to help provide comfort and relief to pets, and encourage our current, supportive fanbase with an opportunity to spread the word about the donation."

The Petfinder Foundation works with shelters, rescue organizations and animal welfare organizations across the country to help ensure that no adoptable pet is euthanized for lack of a good home. The Foundation provides direct funding, as well as training and education, and grants of equipment and supplies so that hundreds of thousands of homeless pets have happier lives and so that the thousands of shelter and rescue folks who work with them can better perform their jobs.
