Help Comfort Zone® Products Bring Peace, Joy and Comfort to Shelter Pets this Holiday Season

The brand will donate $1 to the Petfinder Foundation for every new "like" of the Facebook page from now through December 31, 2012

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Dec. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- According to PetFinder.com, approximately 8-12 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year. This holiday season, the makers of Comfort Zone® products, a Central Garden & Pet Company brand, with the support of Facebook users, will help bring peace, joy and comfort to those pets without a home.

From now through December 31, 2012, for every new "like" of its Facebook page, Facebook.com/ComfortZoneProducts, the brand will donate $1 – up to $7,000 – to the Petfinder Foundation to benefit a number of Petfinder member shelters and rescue groups which help homeless pets nationwide.

The Foundation provides direct funding, as well as training and education, and grants of equipment and supplies so that hundreds of thousands of homeless pets have happier lives and so that the thousands of shelter and rescue folks who work with them can better perform their jobs.
