Jordan Welcomes IDP Education - IELTS Joint Owner and Study Abroad Advisor

MELBOURNE, Australia, Dec. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Growing demand for English testing in Jordan has seen IDP Education open its first testing centre for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) in Amman, in partnership with University House for Consultations & Studies.

The IDP Education office in Amman also offers advice and support services to help students select the best options to study abroad. IDP student advisors assist with visa applications, test applications and enrolment with a university in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to the new Amman test centre, IDP Education is responding to demand for its trusted services across the Middle East with new IELTS test centres in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Libya, Oman, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Maher El Bakry, Middle East Regional Director for IDP Education, said more people are looking to gain an international qualification or increase their employability in English-speaking countries.

"People who plan to study or work in countries such as the United Kingdom and even as far afield as the USA and Canada are coming to us for their IELTS test," Mr El Bakry said.

Future IELTS test takers participated in an IELTS Masterclass hosted by IDP Education on Monday 26 November. The IELTS Masterclass was designed by IDP to help people demonstrate their best English in a test situation. Around 90 people attended the sessions and four winners of a lucky draw walked away with IELTS practice materials at the end.
