("Riverstone") (TSX VENTURE:RVS)(OTCQX:RVREF)(FRANKFURT:3RV) are pleased to announce that at an annual and special meeting held today, Blue Gold's shareholders unanimously approved the previously announced plan of arrangement (the "Arrangement") between Blue Gold and Riverstone. Under the terms of the Arrangement, Blue Gold shareholders will receive 0.801 of a common share of Riverstone (each whole common share, a "Riverstone Share") for each Blue Gold common share ("Blue Gold Share") held. The Arrangement is subject to the satisfaction or waiver of all other conditions to the Arrangement and the final approval of the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the TSX Venture Exchange.
The special resolution approving the Arrangement was approved by 100% of the votes cast by shareholders of Blue Gold present in person or represented by proxy at the meeting. The hearing for the final order to approve the Arrangement is scheduled to take place on December 13, 2012, and the completion of the Arrangement is expected to occur on December 17, 2012, following which Blue Gold's Shares will be delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange.
The combined company will have promising gold exploration and development projects in mining-friendly Burkina Faso, approximately $18 million in cash, and proven capabilities in engineering, mine exploration and development, and the capital markets.
Further details regarding the terms of the Arrangement are set out in Blue Gold's management information circular dated November 9, 2012, which is available under Blue Gold's profile at www.sedar.com.

Overgrown applications have given way to modular applications, driven by the need to break larger problems into smaller problems. Similarly large monolithic development processes have been forced to be broken into smaller agile development cycles. Looking at trends in software development, microservices architectures meet the same demands. Additional benefits of microservices architectures are compartmentalization and a limited impact of service failure versus a complete software malfunction. Th...

The last decade was about virtual machines, but the next one is about containers. Containers enable a service to run on any host at any time. Traditional tools are starting to show cracks because they were not designed for this level of application portability. Now is the time to look at new ways to deploy and manage applications at scale. In his session at @DevOpsSummit, Brian “Redbeard” Harrington, a principal architect at CoreOS, will examine how CoreOS helps teams run in production. Attende...
