PicsArt Launches on Kindle Fire HD

PicsArt, Inc., the world’s most popular mobile photography application for Android phones, is now available on Kindle Fire HD, bringing the radically enhanced features found in PicsArt3 to the latest Kindle device - the first to feature a camera. PicsArt is the only free, full-featured mobile photography app that combines complete functionality found in desktop editing and design tools with intuitive features that empower users to discover their inner creativity as they capture images, doodle or draw. PicsArt is available globally to Kindle Fire users in time to enhance holiday gifting.

Tablets are wildly popular holiday gifts and Kindle Fire HD tops the list of product-related search terms this season, driving traffic to the Retail 500* category among new products. PicsArt’s availability on Kindle Fire HD will continue to fuel momentum as the app reached more than 30 million downloads in the first year. In fact, PicsArt expects to exceed 35 million downloads by the end of the year based on numerous requests among the PicsArt community for Kindle compatibility.

“Completely self-funded and guided by the groundswell of support from our community of loyal, creative and passionate users, PicsArt’s availability for Kindle Fire HD on the Amazon® Appstore is just one example of the unprecedented growth we have experienced since our launch just one year ago,” said Artavazd Mehrabyan, PicsArt’s co-founder and chief technology officer. “The evolution of the Kindle Fire, which includes a sophisticated photo viewer with flawless picture quality on an HD screen, is a perfect palette for PicsArtists to spread their creative wings.”

PicsArtists will enjoy the same user experience on the Kindle Fire as on an Android smartphone with the added benefit of a larger HD display with polarizing filter and anti-glare technology. These enhanced features deliver rich color and deep contrast from any viewing angle, giving PicsArtists the creative license to turn their mobile photos into art.

PicsArt features a full art studio in a mobile photography solution, making professional-caliber tools easily accessible to the average consumer, allowing them to tap their inner artist and have fun creating their own masterpieces. PicsArt’s clean, simple and user-friendly design empowers consumers to create their unique photo styles in real-time, save them wherever they like or share them on any social media platform.

About PicsArt

A division of SocialIn based in Mountain View, CA, PicsArt was born out of a sheer frustration that no free photo app seemed to have a robust feature set. When it launched in November 2011, there were many great one- or two-tool apps, but there wasn’t a single free app putting everything a photographer could ever want in one place. PicsArt remedied this problem and today, just one year later, PicsArt dominates the Android market for photography. PicsArt consistently ranks in the top 40 free apps from Google’s Play store, and with more than 30 million downloads and growing at more than 3 million downloads per month, PicsArt’s development has only just begun.

Up until last year, enterprises that were looking into cloud services usually undertook a long-term pilot with one of the large cloud providers, running test and dev workloads in the cloud. With cloud’s transition to mainstream adoption in 2015, and with enterprises migrating more and more workloads into the cloud and in between public and private environments, the single-provider approach must be revisited. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Yoav Mor, multi-cloud solution evangelist at Cloudy...

In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Stephen Coty, Chief Security Evangelist at Alert Logic, will show how properly configured and managed security architecture can...
We’ve worked with dozens of early adopters across numerous industries and will debunk common misperceptions, which starts with understanding that many of the connected products we’ll use over the next 5 years are already products, they’re just not yet connected. With an IoT product, time-in-market provides much more essential feedback than ever before. Innovation comes from what you do with the data that the connected product provides in order to enhance the customer experience and optimize busi...

A critical component of any IoT project is the back-end systems that capture data from remote IoT devices and structure it in a way to answer useful questions. Traditional data warehouse and analytical systems are mature technologies that can be used to handle large data sets, but they are not well suited to many IoT-scale products and the need for real-time insights. At Fuze, we have developed a backend platform as part of our mobility-oriented cloud service that uses Big Data-based approache...

See storage differently! Storage performance problems have only gotten worse and harder to solve as applications have become largely virtualized and moved to a cloud-based infrastructure.
