LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 01/04/13 -- Hunter Bay Minerals plc ("Hunter Bay") (TSX VENTURE:HBY)(OTCQX:HTBNF) announces that its board of directors have approved a proposed private placement offering up to 10,000,000 units at a price of $0.10 per unit for gross proceeds of $1,000,000 (the "Offering"). Each unit will consist of one ordinary share ("Share") and one transferable share purchase warrant ("Warrant"), with each Warrant entitling the holder to acquire one additional Share at a price of $0.10 per Share for a period of 6 months following the date of issue of the Warrants.
Subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval, Hunter Bay will issue finders such number of warrants ("Finder's Warrant") equal to 10% of the number units found by such finder. Each Finder's Warrant will entitle the holder to acquire one Share at a price of $0.10 per Share for a period of two years from the date of closing of the Offering.
Proceeds of the Offering will be used to fund Hunter Bay's drill program on its Sela Creek Project as well as for general working capital and corporate purposes.
Closing of the proposed Offering is subject to a number of conditions, including receipt of all necessary corporate and regulatory approvals, including approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
