CHICAGO, Jan. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Corboy & Demetrio is pleased to announce that every partner at the Chicago law firm and two associates have been selected as 2013 Illinois Super Lawyers. Each year, no more than five percent of Illinois lawyers receive this honor.

Mr. Demetrio was named one of the Top 10 Illinois Super Lawyers out of more than 80,000 lawyers in the state. It's the third consecutive year for his nomination, and he's been on the Top 100 Super Lawyers list since the award's inception.

Ten partners at Corboy & Demetrio have been named Illinois Super Lawyers each consecutive year since the inception of Super Lawyers in 2005, including David R. Barry, Robert J. Bingle, Philip Harnett Corboy, Michael K. Demetrio, Thomas A. Demetrio, Shawn S. Kasserman, Francis Patrick Murphy, Susan J. Schwartz and Rene A. Torrado, Jr. Partner Daniel S. Kirschner became an IL Super Lawyer in 2008, and became a partner at the Chicago personal injury law firm in 2011.

In addition, four partners were named to the Top 100 Lawyers list. They include: David R. Barry, Philip Harnett Corboy, Jr., Thomas A. Demetrio and Shawn KassermanCorboy & Demetrio has the distinction of tying for the highest number of attorneys of any law plaintiff's law firm in the top 100 category.

Joining the prestigious ranks of IL Super Lawyers for the first time in 2013 are Margaret M. Power and Edward G. Willer.

In addition, three associates, William T. Gibbs, Matthew T. Jenkins and Michelle M. Kohut were again named Super Lawyers Rising Stars, dedicated to those lawyers who are under 40 and practicing fewer than 10 years.
