Christian college in Oregon sets Feb. 1 as priority deadline for incoming freshmen

George Fox University is currently ranked among top 10 Christian colleges in nation by Forbes

NEWBERG, Ore., Jan. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The priority deadline for freshmen interested in applying for fall 2013 undergraduate admission to George Fox University is Friday, Feb. 1.  Applications completed after that date will be admitted on a space-available basis.

Online application is available at apply.georgefox.edu. Information on tuition, majors and minors, financial aid, the campus location, housing and more is available by calling the undergraduate admissions office at 1-800-765-4369, ext. 2240, or by visiting the university's undergraduate admissions site at yourlife.georgefox.edu.

If applying for financial aid, students should submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the appropriate agency. Forms may be obtained from college or university financial aid offices. The George Fox admissions office recommends submitting the FAFSA form by Feb. 1 in order to secure the earliest possible financial aid award.

George Fox undergraduate students have more than 40 majors to choose from. Forbes ranks George Fox among the top 10 Christian colleges in the country, and the university is also one of the top-40 schools in the nation in percentage of students who study abroad (U.S. News & World Report, 2012). About half of undergraduate students participate in a study-abroad experience before they graduate.

George Fox is also one of only 11 schools – joining the likes of Yale, Dartmouth, Cal Tech and the University of Chicago – that participates in the Richter Scholars Program, a national initiative that funds undergraduate and graduate individual research projects.

George Fox's undergraduate campus is located on 85 tree-shaded acres in Oregon's Willamette Valley – only 23 miles south of Portland and within driving distance of both the Oregon Coast and Mt. Hood.
