Stylesight Releases S/S 14 Denim Outlook at Kingpins Show New York

New Technology Driving Key Themes in Seasonal Color and Material Direction

NEW YORK, Jan. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Stylesight, the industry leading global content and technology solution for professionals in the style, fashion and design sectors, unveiled its 2014 Denim Outlook at the Kingpins New York show today, in an exclusive seminar for hundreds of denim's most influential professionals. The presentation travels later this month to Los Angeles and February in Hong Kong. The bi-annual reports, Laundry S/S 14 and Construction S/S 14, highlight key direction and innovation themes in color and material that are expected to inspire and drive denim design in the upcoming season.

S/S 14 Denim Outlook, created by the Stylesight denim team, led by Senior Denim Editor Amy Leverton, reveals several technological advancements used within the laundry and construction that are driving new breeds of denim into the next season. Among the top themes outlined in Laundry S/S 14 and Construction S/S 14 include the use of laser technology, leading to a fresh wave of digital and graphic capabilities. Denim experts can expect to see a strong progression of dramatic, high-contrast colors as well as digitally engineered photo finishes. Within the construction of garments, the reports indicate a focus on weave innovation like 3-D technology to create a hybrid of denim that is texturized and visually woven.
