Baltimore Plastic Surgeon Offers Three Varieties of Tummy Tuck Techniques

Dr. Vogel Customizes Tummy Tuck Procedures to Meet Individual Goals for His Baltimore Plastic Surgery Patients

BALTIMORE, MD -- (Marketwire) -- 01/29/13 -- Dr. James E. Vogel, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Baltimore, offers a wide array of procedures at his private practice, including breast augmentation, hair transplantation, liposuction, and facelift. However, 25-35% of Dr. Vogel's patients come to him for tummy tuck procedures. Dr. Vogel offers three types of tummy tuck techniques to ensure the results of the surgery meet each patient's expectations.

Mini Tummy Tuck: The mini tummy tuck, or mini abdominoplasty, is a procedure for individuals who retain stubborn fat in the lower abdomen, as well as excess skin. According to Dr. Vogel, the ideal candidate for a mini tummy tuck is a patient whose waistline concern is below the belly button. After surgery, mini tummy tuck patients experience benefits including:

  • An improved waistline
  • A tightened and trimmer lower abdomen

Full Tummy Tuck: The full tummy tuck, or full abdominoplasty, is a procedure for patients who retain excess skin and fat above and below the belly button. Dr. Vogel says many candidates for this procedure also opt to tighten the muscles of the abdomen, adding that during pregnancy, these muscles are frequently stretched beyond a patient's ability to strengthen them. After surgery, full tummy tuck patients experience benefits including:

  • A flatter stomach region
  • A trimmer waistline
  • Better fitting of clothing

Extended Tummy Tuck: The extended tummy tuck, or extended abdominoplasty, is a procedure for patients who require skin tailoring beyond the scope of a full tummy tuck in order to contour the waistline. The ideal candidate for an extended tummy tuck procedure is a patient who has recently experienced dramatic weight loss, whether through bariatric surgery or through diet and exercise, says Dr. Vogel. After surgery, extended tummy tuck patients experience benefits including:

  • Firmer body/skin tone
  • A flatter abdomen
  • A trimmer waistline

The three forms of tummy tuck surgeries are performed as outpatient procedures, and the surgical time for each procedure typically ranges from 3-5 hours. Dr. Vogel generally gives patients epidural and IV-sedation anesthesia to enhance the treatment. The average recovery time for these procedures spans from 7-21 days depending on the particular procedure.

Dr. Vogel says he offers these three, distinct tummy tuck methods to help customize the procedure for each of his Baltimore plastic surgery patients. With tummy tuck procedures making up such a large portion of his practice, Dr. Vogel is committed to working with patients to achieve their individual goals.

Companies are harnessing data in ways we once associated with science fiction. Analysts have access to a plethora of visualization and reporting tools, but considering the vast amount of data businesses collect and limitations of CPUs, end users are forced to design their structures and systems with limitations. Enterprises are adopting Kubernetes to accelerate the development and the delivery of cloud-native applications. However, sharing a Kubernetes cluster between members of the same team can be challenging. And, sharing clusters across multiple teams is even harder. Kubernetes offers several constructs to help implement segmentation and isolation. However, these primitives can be complex to understand and apply. As a result, it’s becoming common for enterprises to end up with several clusters. Thi...
As popularity of the smart home is growing and continues to go mainstream, technological factors play a greater role. The IoT protocol houses the interoperability battery consumption, security, and configuration of a smart home device, and it can be difficult for companies to choose the right kind for their product. For both DIY and professionally installed smart homes, developers need to consider each of these elements for their product to be successful in the market and current smart homes.
Widespread fragmentation is stalling the growth of the IIoT and making it difficult for partners to work together. Though cloud is the future of enterprise computing, a smooth transition of legacy applications and systems is critical for seamless business operations. Microsoft Azure Container Services can be used for container deployment in a variety of ways including support for Orchestrators like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm and Mesos. However, the abstraction for app development that support application self-healing, scaling and so on may not be at the right level. Helm and Draft makes this a lot easier. In this strange new world where more and more power is drawn from business technology, companies are effectively straddling two paths on the road to innovation and transformation into digital enterprises. The first path is the heritage trail – with “legacy” technology forming the background. Here, extant technologies are transformed by core IT teams to provide more API-driven approaches. Legacy systems can restrict companies that are transitioning into digital enterprises. To truly become a lead...
