McCormick Canada Releases New Products to Help Celebrate Chinese New Year

LONDON, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 01/30/13 -- The Year of the Snake approaches as Chinese New Year kicks off February 10, and McCormick Canada has launched some new Simply Asia and Thai Kitchen products to help Canadian families entertain and celebrate.

Entertaining guests with your favourite Asian dishes is now made easy, whether it is for family dinners, celebrating Valentine's Day or entertaining company while watching the Super Bowl and Oscars.

"Preparing food and eating meals as a family is the centrepiece for precious family time together in our hectic, media saturated world," says Eins Mutuc, Marketing Product Manager, McCormick Canada.

"Our new and unique Thai Chili and Ginger, Spicy Thai Mango, and Pineapple and Chili sauces (from Thai Kitchen) give Canadian cooks the confidence to create Asian food experiences for the whole family," she adds. "Restaurant quality stir-fry dishes, such as General Tso, can also be enjoyed by trying our four new Simply Asia Stir-Fry sauces which also include Ginger Teriyaki, Mandarin Orange, and Spicy Kung Pao."

All Simply Asia and Thai Kitchen products are widely available across Canada in major grocery retail stores, and will help Canadians prepare a delicious Asian meal at home for any occasion.

The featured recipe this year is Ginger Teriyaki Lettuce Wraps using Simply Asia Ginger Teriyaki Stir-Fry Sauce, Mutuc notes, an all-time favourite, which is a healthy alternative to traditional dishes such as chili and tacos during events like the Super Bowl. This easy-to-make recipe combines Simply Asia Ginger Teriyaki Stir-Fry Sauce, ground chicken or turkey, six large iceberg lettuce leaves, and toppings such as shredded carrots, bean sprouts, chow mein noodles, chopped peanuts, chopped fresh cilantro and chopped green onions. "Combining regionally-inspired recipes for dishes enjoyed in favourite Asian restaurants with Thai Kitchen and Simply Asia's authentic flavour expertise, we provide the products and resources to help Canadians create their own Asian food experience at home," Mutuc adds.

We all know that end users experience the Internet primarily with mobile devices. From an app development perspective, we know that successfully responding to the needs of mobile customers depends on rapid DevOps – failing fast, in short, until the right solution evolves in your customers' relationship to your business. One of the biggest challenges with adopting a DevOps mentality is: new applications are easily adapted to cloud-native, microservice-based, or containerized architectures - they can be built for them - but old applications need complex refactoring. On the other hand, these new technologies can require relearning or adapting new, oftentimes more complex, methodologies and tools to be ready for production. Enterprises are moving to the cloud faster than most of us in security expected. CIOs are going from 0 to 100 in cloud adoption and leaving security teams in the dust. Once cloud is part of an enterprise stack, it’s unclear who has responsibility for the protection of applications, services, and data. When cloud breaches occur, whether active compromise or a publicly accessible database, the blame must fall on both service providers and users. In his session at 21st Cloud Expo, Ben Johnson, C...

Major trends and emerging technologies – from virtual reality and IoT, to Big Data and algorithms – are helping organizations innovate in the digital era.
