Fuel Tech Awarded Air Pollution Control Orders Totaling $4.4M

Fuel Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ: FTEK), a world leader in advanced engineering solutions for the optimization of combustion systems and emissions control in utility and industrial applications, today announced receipt of air pollution control (APC) orders totaling $4.4 million.

The largest of these orders, placed by a Midwest utility, represent nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction projects on two coal-fired boilers. These projects will utilize Fuel Tech’s HERT™ High Energy Reagent Technology™ and NOxOUT® Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR) injection technologies. Equipment deliveries are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2013. An order for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling was also received from a domestic utility doing an engineering study for particulate matter control options to meet the utility Mercury and Air Toxic Standards (MATS) Rule.
