ClientHouse Partners With PerspecSys to Deliver New Cloud Data Residency Solution for Salesforce.com Users

Enterprises that use one of the world’s most popular SaaS solutions – Salesforce.com – can now secure sensitive data and meet strict EU compliance requirements without compromise, thanks to a new partnership between ClientHouse and PerspecSys.

ClientHouse, a leading cloud computing and CRM consultancy, has joined forces with PerspecSys, the leader in cloud data protection solutions for the enterprise, to integrate PerspecSys’ Cloud Data Protection Gateway with ClientHouse’s Salesforce.com-based cloud and CRM offerings. Together, they provide a unique cloud protection solution that lets customers take full advantage of wide application functionality while ensuring their sensitive, regulated corporate data remains on-premise and under their full control. PerspecSys and ClientHouse will demonstrate this solution in Hall 4, Stand C69 at CeBIT, 5-9 March, in Hannover, Germany.

According to Gartner Group, Salesforce.com will become the leading CRM vendor worldwide in 2013. This is due in great part to the major value that cloud-based software applications like Salesforce.com offer organizations including saving time, eliminating errors, gaining intelligence and adding best-in-class functionality for their sales employees. However, data protection laws such as the EU Data Protection Directive and industry-specific regulatory standards such as HIPAA and PCI-DSS impose strict guidelines on how sensitive data must be treated and are slowing enterprise adoption of cloud apps. As one of the leading Salesforce.com consulting partners in Europe, ClientHouse wanted to address these data privacy and residency issues to help clients easily and securely embrace the cloud so they chose PerspecSys as its security partner.

“We reviewed other competing solutions and quickly concluded that the design approach taken by PerspecSys, which enables its solution to fully maintain Salesforce.com functionality whilst offering the strongest options for protecting data, would enable us to have the best solution to underpin our data residency and security offering for our Salesforce.com customers,” said Andre Klose, founder and managing director, ClientHouse.

The PerspecSys Cloud Data Protection Gateway gives businesses key privacy, residency and security capabilities when using Salesforce.com and other leading cloud applications. By intercepting sensitive information before it leaves their environment and replacing it with a random token or encrypted value before it enters the cloud, the Gateway ensures a corporation’s data remains within their full control at all times. PerspecSys does all of this while remaining completely transparent to Salesforce.com application users – they have full use of critical Salesforce.com capabilities such as Searching, Sorting and Reporting, even on data that has been strongly encrypted or tokenized.

“In today’s cloud environment, success boils down to one word: control,” said David Canellos, CEO of PerspecSys. “Data is the lifeblood of most organizations, yet most still struggle to ensure security and residency in cloud environments – in short, to maintain control. We’re excited to be working with a cloud pioneer like ClientHouse to give enterprises a solution that removes this barrier. With their CRM consulting expertise and our technology, we can give enterprises the confidence to enjoy the benefits of the cloud while ensuring they are meeting the strict regulatory and compliance requirements that continue to emerge across every sector.”

Web Real-Time Communication APIs have quickly revolutionized what browsers are capable of. In addition to video and audio streams, we can now bi-directionally send arbitrary data over WebRTC's PeerConnection Data Channels. With the advent of Progressive Web Apps and new hardware APIs such as WebBluetooh and WebUSB, we can finally enable users to stitch together the Internet of Things directly from their browsers while communicating privately and securely in a decentralized way.
More and more companies are looking to microservices as an architectural pattern for breaking apart applications into more manageable pieces so that agile teams can deliver new features quicker and more effectively. What this pattern has done more than anything to date is spark organizational transformations, setting the foundation for future application development. In practice, however, there are a number of considerations to make that go beyond simply “build, ship, and run,” which changes ho...

Just over a week ago I received a long and loud sustained applause for a presentation I delivered at this year’s Cloud Expo in Santa Clara. I was extremely pleased with the turnout and had some very good conversations with many of the attendees. Over the next few days I had many more meaningful conversations and was not only happy with the results but also learned a few new things. Here is everything I learned in those three days distilled into three short points.

In this strange new world where more and more power is drawn from business technology, companies are effectively straddling two paths on the road to innovation and transformation into digital enterprises. The first path is the heritage trail – with “legacy” technology forming the background. Here, extant technologies are transformed by core IT teams to provide more API-driven approaches. Legacy systems can restrict companies that are transitioning into digital enterprises. To truly become a lea...
All clouds are not equal. To succeed in a DevOps context, organizations should plan to develop/deploy apps across a choice of on-premise and public clouds simultaneously depending on the business needs. This is where the concept of the Lean Cloud comes in - resting on the idea that you often need to relocate your app modules over their life cycles for both innovation and operational efficiency in the cloud. In his session at @DevOpsSummit at19th Cloud Expo, Valentin (Val) Bercovici, CTO of So...
What are the new priorities for the connected business? First: businesses need to think differently about the types of connections they will need to make – these span well beyond the traditional app to app into more modern forms of integration including SaaS integrations, mobile integrations, APIs, device integration and Big Data integration. It’s important these are unified together vs. doing them all piecemeal. Second, these types of connections need to be simple to design, adapt and configure...

The Jevons Paradox suggests that when technological advances increase efficiency of a resource, it results in an overall increase in consumption. In his session at 19th Cloud Expo, Mark Thiele, Chief Strategy Officer for Apcera, will compare the Jevons Paradox to modern-day enterprise IT, e...
