A 9% increase totaling to $3.3 billion in net operating revenues was reported by Community Health Systems for its 2012 Q4. Income from continuing operations increased to $85.6 million or $0.69 per diluted share for the last quarter ended Dec.31, 2012, as compared to $55.6 million or $0.38 per diluted share for the same period of 2011.Commenting on the results, Wayne T. Tenet Healthcare Corp. Research Report
Tenet has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Emmanuel Medical Center - a 209-bed hospital located in Turlock, Ca. Health Management Associates Inc. Research Report
Health Management Associates and Bayfront Health System had executed a definitive agreement in St. Petersburg, Florida. The transaction is subject to the execution of a lease agreement between the partnership and the City of St. Petersburg, as well as customary regulatory approvals. As part of the joint venture, Health Management will acquire an 80% interest in Bayfront Health System, and introduce an affiliation with ShandsHealthCare, part of UF&Shands, the University of Florida Academic Health Center.
