ShareThis and DigitasLBi Provide New Real-Time Engagement Solutions to Brands

DigitasLBi and ShareThis today announced a partnership to enhance DigitasLBi’s BrandLIVE platform and help brands activate effective social engagement in real-time. Actionable insights from ShareThis that look at the sharing habits of 95 percent of the U.S. Internet population give brands the ability to see how, when, and what content — from retail and finance to travel and auto — is being shared at any given time, on any device. Marketers can use these insights to activate media plans around social conversations and trending topics and engage consumers at relevant times across video, display and mobile environments.

“Increasingly, our clients are looking for ways to use real-time data in marketing campaigns. With BrandLIVE, they have the ability to take advantage of consumer-driven trigger events and trends that are relevant to their brands and business,” said Baba Shetty, Chief Strategy and Media Officer, DigitasLBi. “Our partnership with ShareThis streamlines the planning process enabling clients to proactively engage social audiences safely at relevant times leading to higher brand lift.”

Improving Campaign Performance with Social Engagement

With nearly one in four people worldwide active on social networks (eMarketer), social media has redefined the advertising landscape. By understanding consumer sharing behavior, brands can more effectively reach the right audiences and engage with them in a more meaningful way. Capitalizing on ShareThis’ unique insights into consumer sharing across devices coupled with BrandLIVE’s existing data on trending topics, marketers have access to real-time audiences and can activate media plans optimized toward sites with high Social Quality Index (SQI) rankings.

“BrandLIVE is an intelligence center that empowers brands,” said Kurt Abrahamson, CEO of ShareThis. “Our partnership with DigitasLBi amplifies that empowerment by helping brands adapt to what matters most to consumers and be a part of the organic conversation, resulting in better advertising campaigns and brand engagement.”

Measuring Brand Lift

In the social web, sharing is the purest expression of interest. By monitoring the volume of shares related to a particular brand or campaign message before and after ad exposure, it’s possible to identify the increase in social activity generated by a campaign. DigitasLBi provides clients the ability to reach the most social and engaged audiences. DigitasLBi clients will see impressive results measured through third-party brand studies. These studies will examine awareness, favorability, purchase intent and brand lift.
