Insight Strategy Interview and Market Watch Reports for NXT-ID, Apple, Yahoo and Lions Gate Entertainment, Berkshire Hathaway

CORAL SPRINGS, Florida, September 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

FinancialNewsMedia.com reports on today's leaders in the Technology sector:  NXT-ID, Inc., (OTCQB: NXTD), Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) , Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO), Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (NYSE: LGF) and Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.B).

FN Media Group (FNM) is pleased to publish an interview with Rhode Island investor, businessman and award winning movie producer Chad A. Verdi . Mr. Verdi discusses his recent investment in biometric mobile security company NXT-ID, Inc.'s ( NXTD) as well as  Apple (AAPL) , Yahoo (YHOO), Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. ( LGF)  and Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B). FN Media Group talks to Mr. Verdi about his investment strategy and what compels him to bet on a company.

Q: FNM

Chad your primary business role over the last several years has been as a movie producer and a businessman in diverse sectors. As a self- made entrepreneur what do you look for in the public companies you invest in?

A: Chad A. Verdi

I look for companies that are undervalued and that have most if not all their R&D spending behind them. I want them ready to enter the market place at full speed.

Q: FNM

You obviously have a range of small to large companies you invest in - is there a common theme or factor?

A: Chad A. Verdi

Yes, the huge upside potential is always what I am looking for.

Q: FNM

Do you still have faith in Apple (AAPL) without Steve Jobs at the helm?

A: Chad A. Verdi

Yes, Apple is a leader today in mobile unites and it will lead this market for decades to come. Also, they have 150 billion in cash, that's never hurts.

Q: FNM

You recently invested in a mobile security /biometric company, NXT-ID, Inc. (NXTD) becoming its largest shareholder. What did you see at an early stage to compel you to take the risk? And what was your due diligence process?

A: Chad A. Verdi
I feel I am very good at being able to look outside the box, seeing things others can't or are over looking. When you can achieve that, the sky is the limit on what your maximum potential in an investment can be. In the case of NXTD, they have the products in a space that I feel has huge potential. Mobile security is what everyone is talking about now; it's a very hot sector. Their 3D facial recognition is leading edge technology. Their first product, the Wocket, they are launching this fall,  sets the stage for the roll- out of their Mobile suite of products. Just like my other investments in Apple (AAPL) and Yahoo (YHOO), they were first and leaders in their respective markets and being first pays off big time!

Q: FNM

What's next on the horizon for your investment and entertainment business front ?  For a  relatively new company in the entertainment industry, you have attracted some very impressive names and talent to your team. I just read that you signed Oscar winners Martin Scorsese, Bruce Cohen along with Ben Younger and Emma Tillinger Koskoff, to your next project (Bleed for This). How excited are you about working with them and how did all of this come about?

A: Chad A. Verdi

I am extremely excited about the caliber of talent attached to our next project. This film is the reason my wife Michelle, (head of music and talent) and I got involved in this business. Having Ben, Martin, Bruce, and Emma involved elevates this project to a whole new level. It all started with the great script Ben wrote, the writer/director and the leader of our team. He is a true gem. In regards to the business place, it's all about Nxt-Id for now.  I see this as a huge win for me and my family.

While DevOps most critically and famously fosters collaboration, communication, and integration through cultural change, culture is more of an output than an input. In order to actively drive cultural evolution, organizations must make substantial organizational and process changes, and adopt new technologies, to encourage a DevOps culture. When building large, cloud-based applications that operate at a high scale, it's important to maintain a high availability and resilience to failures. In order to do that, you must be tolerant of failures, even in light of failures in other areas of your application. "Fly two mistakes high" is an old adage in the radio control airplane hobby. It means, fly high enough so that if you make a mistake, you can continue flying with room to still make mistakes. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Le...
Machine learning has taken residence at our cities' cores and now we can finally have "smart cities." Cities are a collection of buildings made to provide the structure and safety necessary for people to function, create and survive. Buildings are a pool of ever-changing performance data from large automated systems such as heating and cooling to the people that live and work within them. Through machine learning, buildings can optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve occupant comfort by ...
