Quiznos Continues Global Growth in United Arab Emirates

Sandwich Restaurant to Open More Than 70 Restaurants in UAE by 2021

DENVER, Oct. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Following its most recent international successes in Mexico and Russia, Quiznos will bring toasted sandwiches to the United Arab Emirates with the recent signature of Royal Bun Cafe as Quiznos newest franchisee. Quiznos and Royal Bun Cafe worked together to establish the blueprint for the venture that will bring more than 70 restaurants to the UAE over the next eight years. Sandwich lovers in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah will be the first to experience a toasted Quiznos sub, with locations expected to be complete by early 2014.

"We are thrilled to launch this expansion into the UAE, especially with a trusted partner like Royal Bun Cafe," said Ken Cutshaw, President of International Development for Quiznos. "We are confident the new Quiznos locations will be met with the same success as our other international locations. The Quiznos brand is continually growing and evolving, and this is another step forward as we continue to attract and gain new customers worldwide."

"Signing this major agreement with Quiznos was an easy decision for us," said Bushra Makki of Royal Bun Cafe. "Because of its recent successes in other countries, and our knowledge of the UAE market, we are excited to pave the way for the stores here. It's a winning combination."

In addition to toasted sandwiches, Quiznos serves up salads, flatbreads, wraps, and soups. Expansion into the UAE is part of Quiznos's international development plan to open more than 1,000 international stores in more than 40 countries by 2020.

Cloud computing delivers on-demand resources that provide businesses with flexibility and cost-savings. The challenge in moving workloads to the cloud has been the cost and complexity of ensuring the initial and ongoing security and regulatory (PCI, HIPAA, FFIEC) compliance across private and public clouds. When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things').
