Avnet Technology Solutions Americas Selected as a 2013 CDW Partner of the Year

Avnet Technology Solutions, the global IT solutions distribution leader and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced that it has been selected as a 2013 CDW (NASDAQ: CDW) Partner of the Year. This represents the second consecutive year Avnet Technology Solutions Americas has received this prestigious award. CDW is a leading provider of technology solutions to business, government, education and healthcare.

CDW’s seventh annual Partner of the Year awards were presented on November 21 at the 2013 CDW Partner Summit in Las Vegas. The awards are designed to honor the top-performing CDW partners that have provided exemplary solutions, resources and support to CDW and its customers. Avnet, through its Avnet Services organization, helped CDW provide their customers with the highest-quality technologies and services in the industry.

“Avnet Services has made significant investments in the CDW partnership by leveraging the foundation we’ve built and continuing to increase our value by broadening our suite of service offerings through strategic acquisitions, internal development and practice realignment,” said Ron Brinckerhoff, vice president of sales, Avnet Services. “Our reputation is built on awards such as this from our customers, and the Avnet team has worked hard to deserve this honor for two years in a row. We are extremely proud of this achievement and are grateful for our successful partnership with the CDW team.”

Avnet Services also worked closely to customize its services solutions to align with CDW’s business needs. Avnet’s IT, business and lifecycle engagements with CDW in 2013 included:

  • Field service installation and support
  • IT and business software solutions
  • Strategic vertical and segment alignment

“Effective industry partnerships are critical to providing high quality solutions and services to our more than 250,000 customers. This year’s award recipients consistently went above and beyond, enabling us to better understand and meet the needs of our business, government, education and healthcare customers,” said Matt Troka, CDW senior vice president of product and partner management. “We congratulate Avnet for achieving CDW’s Partner of the Year award, and we thank them for their outstanding support of CDW initiatives as well as their commitment to providing first-class technology and service.”

Avnet Services acts as a complementary partner to hardware and software vendors and systems integrators and value added resellers to drive higher-value solutions sales. By augmenting their offerings with Avnet Services’ expertise in business, IT, lifecycle and education solutions, partners can increase sales, realize greater margins, and develop more strategic partnerships with their customers.

The CDW Partner of the Year awards are based on input from CDW’s sales, product and partner management and marketing teams, and take into consideration the growth of partner sales through CDW.
