Sarasota Plastic Surgeon Reveals Which Procedures Men Request Most

More and More Men Are Undergoing Liposuction, Eyelid Surgery, and Facelift Procedures at the Plastic Surgery Center in Florida

SARASOTA, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 12/18/13 -- Dr. Jeff Scott, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Sarasota, performs a wide variety of plastic and cosmetic procedures, but lately he has seen an increase in the number of male patients.

For men under 50, Dr. Scott says liposuction and SmartLipo™ are the most common procedures performed at his practice. He adds that men over 50 also undergo these body-contouring procedures, but eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and facelift procedures are more prevalent with this age group.

According to a recent blog post entitled Most Common Male Plastic Surgery Procedures, men generally offer similar reasons for wanting male plastic surgery:

  • "I maintain a good dietary and exercise regimen, but can't get rid of my love-handles and belly."

  • "I'm told I look tired all the time."

  • "I'm actually very energetic and upbeat, but I don't visibly appear that way due to my aging facial and neck features."

At The Plastic Surgery Center, Dr. Scott works to enhance the aesthetics of his male patients without changing their natural features. In order to create a more natural look for his patients, he tries to perform any necessary incisions in well-hidden locations. No matter how extensive the rejuvenation, he tells his patients: "You will still look like you."

In regard to his practice's most popular male procedures, downtime and recovery are often minimal:

  • "For liposuction, a compression garment is generally worn for four weeks, but there are typically no physical restrictions placed on patients after the second postoperative day."

  • "For facelift or eyelid procedures, downtime will vary depending on an individual's degree of swelling and bruising; however, most men are able to return to work within ten days."

Ultimately, no matter the procedure, Dr. Scott recommends having any treatment or surgery performed by a board-certified surgeon who has many years of experience in male cosmetic surgery.

For organizations that have amassed large sums of software complexity, taking a microservices approach is the first step toward DevOps and continuous improvement / development. When you focus on a journey from up-close, you look at your own technical and cultural history and how you changed it for the benefit of the customer. This was our starting point: too many integration issues, 13 SWP days and very long cycles. It was evident that in this fast-paced industry we could no longer afford this reality. We needed something that would take us beyond reducing the development lifecycles, CI and Agile methodologies. We made a fundamental difference, even changed our culture...

Digital Transformation is much more than a buzzword. The radical shift to digital mechanisms for almost every process is evident across all industries and verticals. This is often especially true in financial services, where the legacy environment is many times unable to keep up with the rapidly shifting demands of the consumer. The constant pressure to provide complete, omnichannel delivery of customer-facing solutions to meet both regulatory and customer demands is putting enormous pressure on...
IoT is at the core or many Digital Transformation initiatives with the goal of re-inventing a company's business model. We all agree that collecting relevant IoT data will result in massive amounts of data needing to be stored. However, with the rapid development of IoT devices and ongoing business model transformation, we are not able to predict the volume and growth of IoT data. And with the lack of IoT history, traditional methods of IT and infrastructure planning based on the past do not app...

More and more brands have jumped on the IoT bandwagon. We have an excess of wearables – activity trackers, smartwatches, smart glasses and sneakers, and more that track seemingly endless datapoints. However, most consumers have no idea what “IoT” means. Creating more wearables that track data shouldn't be the aim of brands; delivering meaningful, tangible relevance to their users should be. We're in a period in which the IoT pendulum is still swinging. Initially, it swung toward "smart for smart...
