WEST LAWN, Pa., Jan. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective immediately, UtiliTech, a national leader in cost reduction services, has changed its name to Edge Insights to better reflect its increasingly proactive focus on cost-savings and expanded line of services.
Since its inception in 1991, the company has conducted thousands of utility audits on behalf of its corporate clients, uncovering millions of dollars in savings in electricity, natural gas and telecommunications. More recently, the firm has augmented bill auditing with a broader line of cost reduction services, including:
- Energy Procurement
- Waste Removal and Recycling
- Sales and Use Taxes
- Transportation Services
- Wireless Device Management
"As a forensic auditing firm, we looked to the past to review customers' expenses," explained Emmett Lien, president of Edge Insights. "Today, we are forward-focused, helping our clients find strategic cost management opportunities. Our new name, Edge Insights, conveys our evolution to a future-focused philosophy that provides clients with a competitive edge."
Lien joined the company in 2008 and purchased the firm with partner Dennis Hefter, executive vice president, business development, in 2010. The company entered into several strategic partnerships in an effort to cross-pollinate and provide clients with specialized experience and value in areas such as sales tax consulting. In November 2013, the firm also expanded geographically, opening a Western regional sales office in Denver to better serve clients in the Southwestern United States, including Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.
Edge Insights works with a variety of clients in almost every industry.
"Our services are 'success-based,'" explains Lien, "which means we only get paid if we find tangible savings for our clients. In the past four years, we have been able to double our revenues — and we anticipate even greater growth as we continue to move forward in 2014."
