Winning the GRAMMY Gig of a Lifetime would mean everything to Lovebettie lead vocal singer Alexandra Naples. "We are super excited and honored to be nominated. Music is about passion and sincerity and connecting with my audience," said Naples. "I cry onstage all the time (the band laughs at me) but it's true. When you see somebody singing the words to a song that's straight out of your heart, it just melts you. That's what it's all about."

Recently deemed a RollingStone.com's "Band to Watch" and called "Pittsburgh's Hottest Band" by Microsoft Windows, Lovebettie is known as pioneers of "Swagger Rock."  This Pittsburgh native group comprised of four members has toured relentlessly, launching them from a local favorite to a national success story.  Lovebettie has performed on Van's Warped Tour, direct support slot on Milwaukee's Summerfest, and featured on Microsoft Windows Media Player.  They have shared bills with multitudes of national acts including: Lifehouse, Hinder, 311, Carly Rae Jepsen, The Joy Formidable, Fuel, Hanson, Rick Springfield, Imagine Dragons, and many more.  In 2010 Lovebettie performed The Official Lady Gaga Afterparty for her Monsters Ball Tour, and were personally selected by Jon Bon Jovi as one of three bands to contend for a tour opening spot.

"We have been working day and night, sacrificing a lot of things people take for granted," continued Naples. "For Lovebettie to win the GRAMMY Gig of a Lifetime would be absolutely incredible because it's putting us in front of a huge audience and giving us that opportunity to prove ourselves and say 'we're here, we mean this.' We've worked hard, very, very hard and we want this badly. We're at the point now that we're ready for that opportunity."

Regulatory requirements exist to promote the controlled sharing of information, while protecting the privacy and/or security of the information. Regulations for each type of information have their own set of rules, policies, and guidelines. Cloud Service Providers (CSP) are faced with increasing demand for services at decreasing prices. Extracting business value from Internet of Things (IoT) data doesn’t happen overnight. There are several requirements that must be satisfied, including IoT device enablement, data analysis, real-time detection of complex events and automated orchestration of actions. Businesses and business units of all sizes can benefit from cloud computing, but many don't want the cost, performance and security concerns of public cloud nor the complexity of building their own private clouds. Today, some cloud vendors are using artificial intelligence (AI) to simplify cloud deployment and management. In his session at 20th Cloud Expo, Ajay Gulati, Co-founder and CEO of ZeroStack, will discuss how AI can simplify cloud operations. He will cover the following topics: why clou...
The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to simplify and streamline our lives by automating routine tasks that distract us from our goals. This promise is based on the ubiquitous deployment of smart, connected devices that link everything from industrial control systems to automobiles to refrigerators. Unfortunately, comparatively few of the devices currently deployed have been developed with an eye toward security, and as the DDoS attacks of late October 2016 have demonstrated, this oversight can ...

DevOps is being widely accepted (if not fully adopted) as essential in enterprise IT. But as Enterprise DevOps gains maturity, expands scope, and increases velocity, the need for data-driven decisions across teams becomes more acute. Between 2005 and 2020, data volumes will grow by a factor of 300 – enough data to stack CDs from the earth to the moon 162 times. This has come to be known as the ‘big data’ phenomenon. Fortunately, in response a new breed of technology has emerged that is cheaper, faster and more scalable. Yet, in meeting these new needs they...
