SailPoint Named as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Identity Governance and Administration

SailPoint today announced it is the 62nd fastest growing technology company in North America, and the fastest growing of all IAM companies according to the recent Deloitte Technology Fast 500. As additional validation that SailPoint is leading the rapidly growing identity and access management (IAM) market, the company surpassed the $100 million mark in cumulative GAAP revenue in 2013 and lists hundreds of the world’s largest organizations as customers. Additionally, SailPoint was recently named a Leader in Gartner’s 2013 “Magic Quadrant for Identity Governance and Administration” based on the company’s completeness of vision and ability to execute.

The IAM market is poised to reach about $3.5 billion this year. SailPoint, which provides customers with the innovation, customer service and expertise they need to stay on top of their identity challenges, is well positioned to take advantage of this surging market. The company currently boasts one of the industry’s largest, dedicated teams of IAM experts with an average of more than six years of IAM-specific experience per employee. The company is committed to every customer’s success, and maintains a 90%+ customer satisfaction level. As an example of SailPoint’s commitment to innovation, the company recently delivered the industry’s first enterprise-grade IAM-as-a-service (IDaaS) offering. With both SailPoint IdentityIQ and SailPoint IdentityNow, the company delivers the maximum range of choice for customers to address their ever-evolving IAM challenges.

“The IAM market is experiencing the hottest growth I’ve seen in my career,” said Kevin Cunningham, president and founder of SailPoint. “SailPoint’s market-leading innovation and unparalleled commitment to our customers is fueling our continued growth. We believe that being named a Leader in the Gartner IGA Magic Quadrant is validation that our heritage and deep expertise in enterprise IAM will continue to lead the charge as the market evolves. We pioneered the identity governance market and completely disrupted the legacy provisioning market, and we will continue to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving IAM needs of the world’s largest companies.”

The IGA Magic Quadrant report replaces two previous Magic Quadrant reports, one on identity and access governance (IAG), and the other on user administration and provisioning. As part of the assessment process for inclusion in the Magic Quadrant, Gartner conducted an exhaustive product and company evaluation and interviewed customers from each vendor in the report. The 2013 Technology Fast 500 is an annual ranking of the fastest growing public and private technology companies. The ranking is based on five year’s of fiscal year revenue growth that is validated and measured by Deloitte. SailPoint's growth rate from 2008 to 2012 was 3,483%, which is well above the average growth of all the software companies on the list. Deloitte’s Fast 500 is the second time in a year that SailPoint’s record growth has been validated by a third party. Earlier in 2013, the UK-based analyst firm Ovum conducted its IAM market analysis and concluded that SailPoint is one of the fastest-growing IAM vendors in the market, writing in the 2013 Ovum IAM Decision Matrix that SailPoint’s growth is “more than double that of its nearest competitor and has been a strong measure of the company's success for the last three years.”

"There's a growing demand from users for things to be faster. When you think about all the transactions or interactions users will have with your product and everything that is between those transactions and interactions - what drives us at Catchpoint Systems is the idea to measure that and to analyze it," explained Leo Vasiliou, Director of Web Performance Engineering at Catchpoint Systems, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 18th Cloud Expo, held June 7-9, 2016, at the Javits Center in New York Ci...
I wanted to gather all of my Internet of Things (IOT) blogs into a single blog (that I could later use with my University of San Francisco (USF) Big Data “MBA” course). However as I started to pull these blogs together, I realized that my IOT discussion lacked a vision; it lacked an end point towards which an organization could drive their IOT envisioning, proof of value, app dev, data engineering and data science efforts. And I think that the IOT end point is really quite simple…
As companies gain momentum, the need to maintain high quality products can outstrip their development team’s bandwidth for QA. Building out a large QA team (whether in-house or outsourced) can slow down development and significantly increases costs. This eBook takes QA profiles from 5 companies who successfully scaled up production without building a large QA team and includes: What to consider when choosing CI/CD tools How culture and communication can make or break implementation
Actian Corporation has announced the latest version of the Actian Vector in Hadoop (VectorH) database, generally available at the end of July. VectorH is based on the same query engine that powers Actian Vector, which recently doubled the TPC-H benchmark record for non-clustered systems at the 3000GB scale factor (see tpc.org/3323). The ability to easily ingest information from different data sources and rapidly develop queries to make better business decisions is becoming increasingly importan...
A critical component of any IoT project is what to do with all the data being generated. This data needs to be captured, processed, structured, and stored in a way to facilitate different kinds of queries. Traditional data warehouse and analytical systems are mature technologies that can be used to handle certain kinds of queries, but they are not always well suited to many problems, particularly when there is a need for real-time insights.

Extracting business value from Internet of Things (IoT) data doesn’t happen overnight. There are several requirements that must be satisfied, including IoT device enablement, data analysis, real-time detection of complex events and automated orchestration of actions. Unfortunately, too many companies fall short in achieving their business goals by implementing incomplete solutions or not focusing on tangible use cases. In his general session at @ThingsExpo, Dave McCarthy, Director of Products...
