The offGRID Smart™ Bluetooth® Low Energy-Enabled Backup Thin Battery Case for iPhone 5/5s can be programmed to begin charging the iPhone 5/5s at any desired battery level with Incipio's free offGRID™ BatStat Battery Monitor App. The first backup battery monitoring app that originally launched in 2011 in the App Store, has been completely updated and is now compatible with iOS 7 to use a Bluetooth® connection to automatically begin charging the iPhone 5/5s when the battery reaches the set percentage; preventing the iPhone 5/5s from reaching critically low battery levels. Designed with a rechargeable battery, the offGRID Smart™ Thin Backup Battery Case for iPhone 5/5s has a1600mAh battery capacity and offers over 8 hours of extended talk time; more than doubling the iPhone 5/5s internal battery capacity.

The offGRID Smart™ Portable Backup Batteries are the world's first Bluetooth® Low Energy-Enabled power sources that will allow users to locate, monitor, and control charging from their smartphone. In tandem with the offGRID Smart™ Remote Battery Monitor App, users will be able to monitor their battery status remotely (within a 10m range,) wirelessly control USB outputs, start and stop charging, and will be able to locate the offGRID Smart™ Portable Backup Batteries from their smartphone with a "Find Me" feature.
