ACBB-BITS, LLC Announces New CEO, Mr. Jerald Murphy

NEWARK, N.J., Jan. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ACBB-BITS, LLC, a subsidiary of Atlantic Community Bankers Bank, announced today the appointment of Chief Executive Officer, Jerald Murphy, effective immediately. Jerry brings over twenty years of experience in the IT industry. Jerry came to BITS from Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation, a Fortune 500 company providing IT services. While there, he led Cognizant's Infrastructure Consulting globally, helping large companies with critical infrastructure challenges, such as: large-scale data center design; public, private, and hybrid cloud design; Windows 7 and 8 upgrades; enterprise systems management design; and network and security consulting.

Prior to that, Jerry was the head of Infrastructure, Networking, and Security research globally for META Group, a leading global IT advisory services company, where he created new services and markets for virtualization and cloud computing.  Jerry has been in various technical, sales & marketing, senior management and industry analyst positions over a 20-year span in the computer industry. 

Jerry is a well-known industry thought leader in enterprise IT infrastructure design, security and management. He has spoken at numerous industry conferences and events, most recently serving as Conference Chair for the Data Center Insights Conference in 2013. He has previously been Program Chair of Blade Systems Insight and the OpenView Forum. Jerry's background also includes electrical engineering and computer science research, with a BSEE from the United States Military Academy and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. He taught Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at West Point, and conducted electrical engineering research at the Army Research Labs, with published research on integrated circuit design for neural networking computing algorithms.
