Scrubbing Bubbles® and Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housely Help Americans Give Back in 2014

With More People Resolving to Give Back this Year, Let's Bubble™ Helps Communities Across the Country Receive a Helping Hand

RACINE, Wis., Jan. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The new year always seems to bring with it a fresh start. It's a time when nine out of 10 Americans resolve to do and act better in the months to come. And in 2014, according to a new survey conducted by Scrubbing Bubbles®, more than 70 percent of Americans are resolving to give back to their communities – with many making it their top resolution[1].

Despite these well-intentioned commitments, more than 30 percent of resolutions made aren't kept beyond January. Scrubbing Bubbles® is determined to help people stick to their resolutions this year, giving people an easy way to be active in their communities with the launch of Let's Bubble™.

Let's Bubble™ is a nationwide call to action for Americans to help others by cleaning messes big and small in 2014. People can nominate places in their community most deserving of a clean-up powered by the Scrubbing Bubbles®  clean-up team. Eligible locations could include the greasy kitchen at the local elementary school in need of some Scrubbing Bubbles® TLC, bathrooms at the local community center or any other deserving area. Once all submissions have been received and finalists have been chosen in mid-February, visitors to the Let's Bubble™ webpage will vote to determine the four most deserving locations in the country.

To help motivate and inspire Americans to give back this year, Scrubbing Bubbles® has partnered with actresses Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housely, known just as much for their ongoing philanthropic efforts as for their roles in television and film over the years.

Let's Bubble™!
Scrubbing Bubbles® kicked off the Let's Bubble™ program on New Year's Eve in Times Square and asked revelers to share their wishes for locations they'd like the Let's Bubble™ ambassadors to clean in their local communities.

Throughout January, people can nominate a location in need by submitting their text, photo or video entries via #letsbubble or by visiting ScrubbingBubbles.com/letsbubble.

Scrubbing Bubbles® will be scouring the submissions and selecting the nine most deserving locations from December 31, 2013February 15, 2014 who will win $500 for their charity. It is then up to America to vote on which locations they think should win a clean-up from March 15April 15, 2014. The four locations with the most votes will win their Scrubbing Bubbles® clean-up the week of April 15, 2014.   • Gen Y, oh so kind: Millennials (aged 18-34) are more likely (30 percent) than any other age group to resolve to be more active in their community.
  • Stick with it: More than half of Americans will not meet their resolution goals, especially those resolving to give back to others.
  • Make it a team effort: Men are more likely than women to resolve to be more active in the community
  • Try something new: Women are more likely than than men to resolve to experience new things in 2014
  • Call your mother: One in four Americans is resolving to connect more with family and friends this year
