PNI Sensor Wins "Product of the Year" Award for SENtral Motion Co-Processor

Electronic Products Magazine Selects SENtral From Thousands of Products

LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwired) -- 01/08/14 -- PNI Sensor (PNI), a leader in magnetic sensing and sensor fusion technologies, today announced that Electronic Products Magazine has selected SENtral™, its ultra-low power motion co-processor, for a prestigious 2013 Product of the Year Award.

SENtral solves a critical problem for mobile-device designers who want all the benefits of gyroscopes, accelerometers and magnetic sensors -- without draining valuable host CPU power that is needed for other functions. This is especially true for the new "always-on" requirements of motion sensors in smartphones, tablets, wearables and other consumer electronics.

"The SENtral sensor fusion co-processor from PNI Sensor presents a highly effective way to pull in data from complex motion sensor systems with gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer sensors that are often found in mobile and wearable devices.
