SkyWest, Inc. Reports Combined December 2013 Traffic For SkyWest Airlines And ExpressJet Airlines

ST. GEORGE, Utah, Jan. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) ("SkyWest") today reported an 8.0 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for December, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 2.9 percent compared to December 2012. SkyWest also reported that passenger boardings for December increased 2.7 percent to 4,912,416 compared to 4,784,336 for the same period last year. Load factor increased to 84.1 percent compared to 80.1 percent in December 2012. The combined airlines generated 2.6 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 3.1 billion. SkyWest also reported a decrease of 3.4 percent in departures to 113,110 for December compared to 117,067 for the same period last year.
