Heckler Design Releases a Sleek Alternative to the Boring Point-of-Sale Hardware

PHOENIX, Jan. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Today, in advance of the National Retail Federation (NRF) Big Show, Heckler Design began shipping its WindFall Box Set, a next-generation point-of-sale hardware bundle. The Heckler Design WindFall Box Set will be on display at the NRF in the Vend and Teamwork Retail booths (#1105 and #2748).

Designer Dean Heckler reconsidered and redesigned every aspect of the traditional point-of-sale hardware to create the WindFall Box Set. At less than 12-inches wide and 8.5 inches deep, it occupies nearly 60 percent less space than most other cash drawers. Made in the USA, it features heavy steel construction, an automatic drawer, innovative till layout, compatibility with a variety of currencies, integrated mounting options, and multiple Kensington security slots.

"The design goal for WindFall Cash Drawer was to create a focal-point shop owners could be proud of - like the beautiful cash registers of long ago," said Dean Heckler, founder of Heckler Design. "This hardware becomes a point of conversation and interaction between the shop owner and their customer, which builds customer loyalty."

The WindFall Box Set hardware bundle includes the WindFall Cash Drawer, WindFall Stand for iPad Air, WindFall Penny Tray, WindFall Hanger for Star Micronics Receipt Printers, and a Kensington ClickSafe Cable Lock. It is available in multiple colors including, black grey, grey white, bright red, emerald green, bright yellow, and deep orange.

"We are excited to be the only POS provider to offer the WindFall Box Set to retailers," said Jason Richelson, Founder and CEO, ShopKeep POS. "It offers a sleek, stylish design that's perfect for boutiques or other stores where image matters."

"We have a great relationship with Heckler Design, and we're pleased they developed one of the first cash drawers to utilize both a ClickSafe Cable Lock and a Kensington Security Slot," said Rob Humphrey, Director of Global Strategy, Security Products at Kensington. "We look forward to working with them the next time they need a security solution for their next great product."

The WindFall Cash Drawer is available now through www.HecklerDesign.com.
