CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 01/13/14 -- Gibson Energy Inc. ("Gibson" or the "Company") (TSX: GEI) announced today changes to its senior management structure. The following changes are effective immediately:
-- Rick Wise has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Rick will be responsible for operating activities in the Company's Terminals and Pipelines, Truck Transportation, Retail Propane and Processing and Wellsite Fluids businesses; -- Brian Recatto has been appointed President U.S. Operations. In addition to retaining responsibility for Canadian Environmental Services operations, Brian will be responsible for the profitability and growth of all U.S. operations as the Company continues to expand its integrated service offering across all of the major U.S. producing basins; and -- Doug Wilkins has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer. Doug will be responsible for business and commercial development activities while maintaining responsibility for the Marketing business in the Company.

Gibson is a large, independent midstream energy company in Canada and an integrated service provider to the oil and gas industry in the United States. Gibson is engaged in the movement, storage, blending, processing, marketing and distribution of crude oil, condensate, natural gas liquids, water, oilfield waste and refined products. Gibson transports energy products by utilizing its network of terminals, pipelines, storage tanks, and trucks located throughout western Canada and through its significant truck transportation and injection station network in the United States. Gibson also provides emulsion treating, water disposal and oilfield waste management services in Canada and the United States and is the second largest retail propane distribution company in Canada.
