Rugby's Sébastien Chabal joins another winning team as the CurrencyFairy
CurrencyFair, the world's first and largest peer-to-peer currency exchange marketplace, is launching a TV advertising campaign tonight featuring the formidable French rugby international Sébastien Chabal.
Viewers will see Chabal resplendent with orange wings as the mythical 'CurrencyFairy', a creature that helps expats achieve the best foreign exchange rates possible. The 30-second advert will be on Channel 4 and more than 20 other channels including Sky1 and Sky Sports. The campaign will also run across CurrencyFair's social media channels at YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Google+, where you can join the conversation #CurrencyFairy.
The video was produced by Enter who won the brief in a competitive four-way pitch.
Adam Davidson, Head of Offline for CurrencyFair, said: "With his reputation as a talismanic international rugby player, Sébastien was the ideal candidate for the role of 'CurrencyFairy' in our TV advert. He's an intelligent guy who has worked abroad and recognises the advantages of having a cheaper and trusted alternative to banks and brokers when sending money overseas."
Brett Meyers, Founder and CEO of CurrencyFair, commented: "We have achieved rapid growth since our inception in 2010. To date we have transferred £500 million globally for our customers, saving them an estimated £20 million in 'hidden' bank fees. We have ambitious growth targets for 2014 and this advert will bring peer-to-peer currency exchange (or 'money matching' as our users call it) to new audiences, helping expats globally realise more savings than ever. We're thrilled that Sébastien is representing our brand and look forward to working with him into the future."
CurrencyFair is the world's first peer-to-peer foreign exchange marketplace. CurrencyFair customers can exchange funds and transfer them overseas at a fraction of the cost of traditional banks or brokers, due to its unique and innovative money-matching model. CurrencyFair was incorporated in April 2009, and went live online in May 2010.
With offices in Dublin, London and Australia, CurrencyFair is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland under the European Communities Payment Services Regulations 2009. CurrencyFair Australia is regulated by ASIC, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

IT data is typically silo'd by the various tools in place. Unifying all the log, metric and event data in one analytics platform stops finger pointing and provides the end-to-end correlation. For example, users can correlate code deploys to system performance to application error codes. In his session at DevOps Summit, Michael Demmer, VP of Engineering at Jut, will discuss how this can...
