Epson’s OmniLink DT-Series is designed for retailers looking to implement any number of POS configurations to gain the benefits of flexible POS functionality. The devices include a retail-hardened PC powered by an Intel Atom 1.8GHz processor. In addition, the DT-Series features six USB ports for connecting POS peripherals like scanners, keyboards, displays, and cash drawers. It also supports mobile POS deployments with the added capability of a built-in web server and Epson’s ePOS-print technology for driverless web-based printing. BCS – BCS will showcase 4690 system software emulation on two Epson models: OmniLink TM-H6000IV-DT and OmniLink TM-T88V-DT. BCS emulation allows the devices to function as a standard or touchscreen register in an environment running IBM 4690 POS systems.
