Ghostery Reports Dramatic International Growth, with Downloads in China and Korea Surging More than 93 Percent in 2013

Evidon, the leading digital marketing intelligence company, announced today that its Ghostery® service, which provides the most popular transparency-enabling browser plug-in available to consumers online, continues to grow dramatically across the world. Now available in 12 languages across the Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera browsers - Ghostery downloads have nearly doubled in 2013 across East Asia, in Japan, Korea, and China, with millions of downloads concentrated where web use is at its highest. Ghostery enables control over more than 4,100 tracking technologies from 1,600 tracking companies worldwide - the largest library available.

Users all over the world can now download Ghostery in 12 localised versions: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Chinese, and Taiwanese. In addition to the new languages, the Ghostery mobile version for Android, designed for the Firefox browser, continues to scale. Other new Ghostery features include simple, click-to-play content controls, which enable users to specify how media should be played on a page without interrupting their browsing experience.

The Ghostrank panel provides precise data to Evidon’s clients and informs clearer insights for journalists and analysts, leading to better understanding of the ecosystem and actionable insights for Evidon’s clients and partners.
