Rainbow Child Care Center Acquires Little Red School House

TROY, Mich., Jan. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Rainbow Child Care Center recently acquired Little Red School House, an early childhood education company with 11 locations in Kentucky and 2 in Ohio. The addition of these 13 schools increases Rainbow's existent portfolio to 89 and is an indication that Rainbow is continuing on the fast track to growth that began in 2013.

The average enrollment capacity for each Little Red School House is 130 children and range in size from 5,000 to 13,000 square feet. Rainbow plans to retain the current Little Red School House staff of 350, as well as add additional positions as enrollment increases. "When we make an acquisition we strive to retain the staff since they are key contributors to the success of our business," stated Karen Krygier, Chief Operating Officer of Rainbow Child Care Center.

Rainbow has been operating in Greater Cincinnati since 2010 and has demonstrated great success in the Metro Cincinnati market with schools in Ohio and Kentucky.  "We look forward to expanding our operations in Ohio and Kentucky and are thrilled to have the opportunity to provide child care solutions for families in both areas," said Krygier.
