PeopleAnswers' Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) based talent science platform is used by companies ranging from the Fortune 500 to the mid-market to optimize hiring, promotion, learning, and compensation processes. PeopleAnswers' customers often achieve significant, measurable increases in employee performance as well as reductions in overall employment turnover when using PeopleAnswers. ArchPoint Partners acted as the exclusive financial advisor to PeopleAnswers in this transaction.

"ArchPoint's exceptional access to buyers and investors, and their ability to strategically position our company, made for a highly competitive acquisition process that resulted in an optimal outcome. We couldn't be happier with the process and the results ArchPoint delivered," said Gab Goncalves, CEO of PeopleAnswers.

The acquisition of PeopleAnswers will add a new layer of intelligence and predictive capability to the Infor HCM suite. PeopleAnswers' unique approach uses behavioral science to achieve results by tying performance metrics to key behaviors of top employees that enables companies to hire, reward, and promote their best performers.

"The discipline of HR is hungry to embrace predictive and analytical tools. PeopleAnswers has pioneered the field, developing a patented, cloud-based product available in 16 languages that has become the front-runner in a fast-growing marketplace," said Charles Phillips, CEO of Infor. "Through this acquisition, we will not only expand our HR offering, but we will add some of the brightest minds in the software industry... Infor HCM has been called the deepest and widest offering; now it is the smartest as well."

"This transaction highlights a broader trend in the software industry, where vendors are looking to unlock the power of 'Big Data' and analytics to make their software more predictive, more intelligent and ultimately, more differentiated from their competitors. With this acquisition, Infor now has a strategic advantage in what is a competitive HR software market," said Dan Williams, Managing Director of ArchPoint Partners.

Internet-of-Things discussions can end up either going down the consumer gadget rabbit hole or focused on the sort of data logging that industrial manufacturers have been doing forever. However, in fact, companies today are already using IoT data both to optimize their operational technology and to improve the experience of customer interactions in novel ways. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Gordon Haff, Red Hat Technology Evangelist, shared examples from a wide range of industries – including en...
In IT, we sometimes coin terms for things before we know exactly what they are and how they’ll be used. The resulting terms may capture a common set of aspirations and goals – as “cloud” did broadly for on-demand, self-service, and flexible computing. But such a term can also lump together diverse and even competing practices, technologies, and priorities to the point where important distinctions are glossed over and lost.
Detecting internal user threats in the Big Data eco-system is challenging and cumbersome. Many organizations monitor internal usage of the Big Data eco-system using a set of alerts. This is not a scalable process given the increase in the number of alerts with the accelerating growth in data volume and user base. Organizations are increasingly leveraging machine learning to monitor only those data elements that are sensitive and critical, autonomously establish monitoring policies, and to detect...
Enterprise architects are increasingly adopting multi-cloud strategies as they seek to utilize existing data center assets, leverage the advantages of cloud computing and avoid cloud vendor lock-in. This requires a globally aware traffic management strategy that can monitor infrastructure health across data centers and end-user experience globally, while responding to control changes and system specification at the speed of today’s DevOps teams. In his session at 20th Cloud Expo, Josh Gray, Chie...
To get the most out of their data, successful companies are not focusing on queries and data lakes, they are actively integrating analytics into their operations with a data-first application development approach. Real-time adjustments to improve revenues, reduce costs, or mitigate risk rely on applications that minimize latency on a variety of data sources. Jack Norris reviews best practices to show how companies develop, deploy, and dynamically update these applications and how this data-first...

You know you need the cloud, but you’re hesitant to simply dump everything at Amazon since you know that not all workloads are suitable for cloud. You know that you want the kind of ease of use and scalability that you get with public cloud, but your applications are architected in a way that makes the public cloud a non-starter. You’re looking at private cloud solutions based on hyperconverged infrastructure, but you’re concerned with the limits inherent in those technologies.
Consumers increasingly expect their electronic "things" to be connected to smart phones, tablets and the Internet.
