CORRECTING AND REPLACING Infobip's ¥Coins Virtual Currency Chosen by Wargaming as Payment Option in Japan

Following the successful launch of their ¥Coins virtual currency, the world's most innovative messaging and m-payments provider Infobip has announced that award-winning online game developer Wargaming has chosen ¥Coins as an alternative payment option in Japan. ¥Coins will power in-game purchases of upgrades, extra content and other digital and virtual goods in Wargaming’s military-themed online games.

As a virtual currency, ¥Coins (pronounced Yen Coins) are tokens bought via several payment options, and exchanged for digital and virtual goods in games, social networks and online worlds. ¥Coins allow content providers to offer their services and monetise content in Japan without the need for a local company, overcoming the challenge of the country's foreign presence regulation.

Furthermore, once purchased ¥Coins work across all the games or content of a single provider, which fits in perfectly with Wargaming’s MMO games portfolio.
