The nation's first research university announces a new online graduate program in Research Administration.
WASHINGTON, Jan. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Research in the United States and abroad has expanded rapidly in the last decade. According to the National Science Foundation, in 2012 total U.S. research and development (R&D) expenditures grew to over $450 billion. In R&D Magazine's 2014 Global Funding Forecast, the U.S. ranked first in the world for R&D investment across a variety of industries.
The Johns Hopkins Master of Science in Research Administration will equip students with the essential skills and tools to tap into this industry growth. Designed with a cutting-edge curriculum, this flexible program is ideal for students working in research fields such as higher education, government, law, and medicine. Marianne Rinaldo Woods, Ph.D., J.D. is the Director of the Master of Science Program in Research Administration. Dr. Woods is the 2009 recipient of NCURA's highest honor, the Achievement in Research Administration Award. She is currently on the Board of Directors of NCURA.
Formerly Dr. Woods was the Senior Associate Vice President for Research at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
