Sikich Elects Five New Partners, Welcomes Two

NAPERVILLE, IL--(Marketwired - January 15, 2014) - Sikich LLP, a leading accounting, advisory, investment banking, technology and managed services firm, is pleased to announce the election of five new partners: Joe Kulek, CPA, CCIFP, MBA; Lisa Lutz, CPA; Andrew Paoni, MBA, AIF®, CFP®; Colleen Redington, CPA; and Michelle Usher, CPA. In addition, the firm recently welcomed Tom Harty, AIF® and Elena Mossina, J.D., LL.M.

With more than nine years of experience, Kulek was most recently a senior manager in the firm's Springfield, Ill. office. As partner-in-charge of construction services, he provides clients in the construction and other commercial industries, including manufacturing and distribution and agriculture, with audit, accounting, tax and business advisory services. Kulek earned his MBA from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and he is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois CPA Society, the Institute of Management Accountants and various other business and construction associations.

Lutz was most recently a senior tax manager in the firm's Naperville, Ill. office. With more than 25 years of public accounting experience, she has spent the past 17 years providing income tax and advisory services for individuals, fiduciaries and closely held businesses. She is a member of the construction services team at Sikich, but also serves clients in real estate, manufacturing and distribution, and professional services. Lutz earned her master's degree in taxation from Northern Illinois University, and she is affiliated with the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society.

Previously a financial advisor at Sikich Financial, Paoni provides financial planning and wealth management services to individual, corporate and non-profit clients. He has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) professional designation from Fiduciary360, is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and licensed securities advisor, and holds a State of Illinois life, health and long-term care insurance license. Paoni earned his MBA from Southern Illinois University, and is affiliated with various organizations in the Springfield, Ill. area, including the Springfield Westside Rotary and the Sangamon Valley Estate Planning Council.

Redington is the professional services manager in the firm's Microsoft Dynamics AX practice. With 25 years of experience, she currently works out of the firm's Denver office serving as engagement manager and managing the resourcing for the Microsoft Dynamics AX team, as well as working with the sales team to provide service estimates for new business. Redington, a CPA, earned her MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas and bachelor's degree in finance from Indiana University. She also participated in the international program at Imperial College in London.

With more than 16 years of tax planning, preparation and advisory experience, Usher was most recently a senior manager in the firm's Springfield, Ill. office. She serves clients in the construction, retail, real estate and manufacturing and distribution industries, as well as individuals, non-profit organizations, trusts and estates. Usher earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Springfield and a graduate certificate in state and local taxation from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is affiliated with the AICPA, the Illinois CPA Society and various organizations in the Springfield area.

Harty leads the Chicagoland- and Milwaukee-area practice for the Retirement Plan Services group. With more than 20 years of experience, he provides consulting services to institutional clients regarding retirement plan designs, due diligence and investment analyses. Harty was previously the practice leader for JMG Financial Group. He earned his bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and holds the AIF® professional designation, along with FINRA Series 63 and 65 licenses.

Mossina is partner-in-charge of the firm's International Tax practice, and is a tax attorney with experience advising U.S. multinational clients on a wide range of international and domestic tax issues. Prior to joining Sikich, she was a tax attorney with a large international Chicago-based law firm, where she was responsible for advising taxpayers on U.S. tax consequences of international transactions. Mossina holds a Master of Laws and Juris Doctorate, both from Northwestern University School of Law; and a Master's Degree in Law from the Moscow Institute of International Relations.
