Frost & Sullivan Names Igloo Software Global Product Leader in Enterprise Social Networking

Igloo's cloud intranet solution recognized for customer value, product quality, and innovation

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its recent analysis of the enterprise social networking market, Frost & Sullivan today recognized Igloo Software with the 2013 Global Product Leadership Award. Igloo's cloud intranet solution was rated #1 for product performance and customer value, beating out IBM Corporation, Jive Software, Microsoft SharePoint, and other social collaboration vendors based on in-depth interviews and secondary research.

Frost & Sullivan's Global Product Leadership award for Enterprise Social Networking is bestowed upon the organization that demonstrates leadership across five key performance criteria:

  • Product features and functionality
  • Innovative element(s) of the product
  • Customer acceptance in the market
  • Value-added customizations and enhancements
  • Product quality and fit for different use cases

According to the report, social collaboration capabilities have emerged as a prime engagement channel for employees, members, partners, and customers to share information, increase agility, and continually innovate. Organizations see the value of empowering their members and workers to use enterprise social networking solutions to solve problems, share ideas, generate sales leads, spur innovation, drive corporate communications, develop and coordinate marketing campaigns, obtain feedback, and breathe life into static intranets.

"What differentiates Igloo's intranet solution is the ability to tailor the experience to the audience and their specific workflows, which leads to greater relevancy and ultimately higher engagement," said Frost & Sullivan Principal Analyst Rob Arnold. "Leading providers do not expect organizations to deploy social functionality just because it is a hot trend. Rather, they deliver solutions intended to enhance the way people already work, and do this by tightly integrating social collaboration functionality into existing business processes."

Igloo's Senior Vice President Andrew Dixon said: "The Frost & Sullivan Best Practice Awards are unique because they're based entirely on the merit of the product, service, or technology being evaluated. In a market beset with traditional software vendors, we're honored that Frost & Sullivan has named Igloo the leader."

Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research in order to identify industry best practices.

Digital Transformation means: handling all the data types being found and created in the organizat...
