Dating back to the mid 1800's, the sport of bucking bulls has been an America tradition deep-rooted within the western culture.  More recently with the success of bull riding associations, as well as the increase in visibility of this extreme sport, bucking bulls is not just for cowboys anymore.

In recognition of the nation's fascination with this exhilarating industry, Exclusive Genetics (EG), a world leader in the bucking bull industry, will host a major event and inauguration of National Bucking Bull Day (NBBD) on Saturday, April 5, 2014.  The bucking bull competition will take place at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada as a main feature at the popular ACM Experience and will showcase some of EG's finest bucking bulls.

National Bucking Bull Day will acknowledge the animal athletes who are part of one of the fastest growing segments in the world of sports. EG, home of the $1.3 million dollar Bucking Bull Games and the Million Dollar Bucking Bull Championship offers a payout that brings it in line with many of the premier equine events that take place each year.

Exclusive Genetics CEO Billy Jaynes says now is the time to be involved in this great American Heritage and with its slogan: No Truck or trailer? No Ranch? No Problem! We do all the work, you have all the fun! "Anyone can be a part of this phenomenon, you just need one thing ... a passion for the sport."  He added, "Passion is what drives Exclusive Genetics. This includes the fans, the owners and even the bulls."

Jaynes stressed the importance of educating the public about understanding the type of care, handling, nutritional programs and training that these special animal athletes receive.  He said, "The well-being of these animals is of paramount importance to breeders and trainers and I know National Bucking Bull Day will provide the education and knowledge for fans and owners to increase their enjoyment of the sport."

The preliminaries for National Bucking Bull Day will take place at Sycamore Spring Ranch in Locust Grove, Oklahoma on March 8, 2014.  The overall payout, including the NBBD Preliminaries and the NBBD Finals will be $500,000.

Fans all across America will be able to view the events via streaming video for National Bucking Bull Day, as well as interact through online activities – including voting for their favorite bull to win.
