TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - January 17, 2014) - ABC Life Literacy Canada, with support from Natrel, is pleased to announce the second edition of Family Literacy Fun, a collection of family learning activities. Natrel, a division of Agropur Cooperative, Canada's largest dairy co-op, partnered with ABC Life Literacy to create the Family Literacy Fun collection.
Family Literacy Fun offers parents a wide variety of ways to help develop children's literacy skills and engage them in learning while keeping their own skills sharp. Games, rhymes and songs are among the colourfully illustrated Family Literacy Fun activities, as well as crafts, sign language, recipes, book lists, and a selection of yoga exercises.
"Natrel is committed to helping parents help their children reach their full potential," said Stéphane Renauld, National Marketing Director at Natrel. "When children are engaged in learning at home, it has an enormous impact on how they function in the world as they grow older. Family Literacy Fun offers so many ways for children and parents to have fun learning and growing together."
"Spending time every day on learning activities builds the foundations for lifelong learning," said Gillian Mason, President of ABC Life Literacy Canada. "We are delighted to have the support of Natrel so we can offer Canadian families a terrific resource like Family Literacy Fun."
Family Literacy Fun was developed by ABC Life Literacy Canada in consultation with other literacy organizations including Community Literacy Ontario, La Fondation pour l'alphabétisation, and Centre for Family Literacy. The collection is available in English at www.FamilyLiteracyFun.ca and at www.LireEtJouerEnFamille.ca in French.

In IT, we sometimes coin terms for things before we know exactly what they are and how they’ll be used. The resulting terms may capture a common set of aspirations and goals – as “cloud” did broadly for on-demand, self-service, and flexible computing. But such a term can also lump together diverse and even competing practices, technologies, and priorities to the point where important distinctions are glossed over and lost.
