Affiniti, the network operator of the EAGLE-Net Alliance, today announced that it has appointed Dale Briggs to be Vice President of Field Operations in charge of project management, facilities and operations.
Briggs previously served as Vice President of Operations at EAGLE-Net, where he helped provide broadband services to school districts and government entities in Colorado. As part of its agreement to operate the network, Affiniti will be hiring nearly all of EAGLE-Net’s employees.
“We are pleased to have Dale Briggs and the other EAGLE-Net employees join our team at Affiniti,” said Darol Lain, President and CEO of Affiniti. “They will help us provide high-quality network services to schools, hospitals, libraries and government facilities.”
In October 2013, EAGLE-Net reached a contract with Affiniti to serve as its network operator. Affiniti has committed more than $8 million in capital in order to connect school districts to the middle-mile network. In return, Affiniti will offer access of the network to service providers who are seeking to provide customers with broadband services throughout Colorado.
