W2 Mate® Updates 2013 W2 Electronic Filing for Massachusetts, Michigan, Oregon Pennsylvania, and More States

CHICAGO, Jan. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Real Business Solutions (http://www.W2Mate.com/), tax software maker, has released a new version of W2 Mate® 2013 to comply with the latest W2 electronic filing specifications for the states of Pennsylvania (PA), Massachusetts (MA), Michigan (MI) and Oregon (OR). W2 Mate® also complies with the federal W2 reporting rules by supporting the 2013 "Filing Forms W-2 Electronically (EFW2)" format.

W2 Mate 2013 is available for immediate download from http://www.W2Mate.com/, employers can buy the software and receive it instantly.

Regardless of the federal due date, W-2s must be filed with Pennsylvania by January 31 following the tax year being reported. PA Employers that file 250 or more W-2 forms are required to file electronically or magnetically. W2 Mate generates ready-to-upload EFW2 files according to Pennsylvania Department Revenue Specifications.

Any Massachusetts employer filing 50 or more forms W-2 must submit the file in a "machine-readable form." W2 Mate meets Massachusetts W2 filing requirements by generating files according to "Massachusetts Tax Year 2013 W-2 Handbook."

W2 Mate also supports e-Filing W-2 tax forms with the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

The electronic version of the Form W-2 (PDF file) generated by W2 Mate contains all required information and complies with applicable government procedures relating to substitute statements to employees / recipients.
