Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Global Diversified Equity Income Fund Report Of Earnings

BOSTON, Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Global Diversified Equity Income Fund (NYSE: EXG), a closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three months and year ended October 31, 2013. The Fund's fiscal year ended on October 31, 2013.

For the three months ended October 31, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $6,677,826 ($0.022 per share). For the year ended October 31, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $54,371,934 ($0.180 per share). In comparison, for the three months ended October 31, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $8,282,299 ($0.027 per share). For the year ended October 31, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $58,941,267 ($0.193 per share).

Net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended October 31, 2013 were $162,450,228 ($0.541 per share). Net realized and unrealized gains for the year ended October 31, 2013 were $437,113,565 ($1.451 per share). In comparison, net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended October 31, 2012 were $146,234,136 ($0.482 per share). Net realized and unrealized gains for the year ended October 31, 2012 were $265,060,798 ($0.871 per share).

On October 31, 2013, net assets of the Fund were $3,261,173,100. The net asset value per share on October 31, 2013 was $10.82 based on 301,498,010 shares outstanding. In comparison, on October 31, 2012, net assets of the Fund were $3,100,272,784. The net asset value per share on October 31, 2012 was $10.24 based on 302,798,210 shares outstanding.
