SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Higher Gear – the most utilized CRM in the automotive dealership space, just released its MobileUps application to over 20,000 dealership personnel. MobileUps is available on iTunes and at the Google Play store. This mobile application collects prospect information directly from a driver's license scan. Vehicle identification numbers on new cars and trade-ins can be entered quickly and accurately by scanning either the traditional VIN barcode, the vehicle registration sticker, or even the new DataMatrix format present on many late model vehicles. MobileUps allows for the most rapid and accurate entry of an opportunity into the dealership's CRM.
"I am so pleased to see Higher Gear's mobile strategy bringing real speed into the showroom," says Robert C. Gruen, President of Higher Gear. Gruen continues, "The time it takes to buy a car is the consumer's number one complaint to manufacturers. With Higher Gear MobileUps we are speeding up the process so employees can focus on enhancing the customer's experience. This is just the first of many updates on Higher Gear's calendar. Higher Gear has always let our dealer's drive our programming direction. Our entire product works on the iPad today. As dealer's continue to demand simplicity and effective training we will continue to deliver our proven solutions.
Higher Gear will be showcasing MobileUps and a dozen more upgrades at the NADA Exposition on January 25-27 at booth #3419 in New Orleans. The future of Customer Relationship Management in the automotive space will be relying on a hybrid of dealership driven follow-up and turnkey solutions to assist in the dealership's objectives. Higher Gear continues to deliver monthly software updates and stresses the need for training to maximize any dealership customer relationship management improvement.

There are several IoTs: the Industrial Internet, Consumer Wearables, Wearables and Healthcare, Supply Chains, and the movement toward Smart Grids, Cities, Regions, and Nations.
